Christmas and "BALL"

We had a great time celebrating W's first Christmas. But first we celebrated Mimi's 50th bday, then spent Christmas with both sets of families here in Florida, then headed to Alabama (in an RV with 8 adults, 2 babies, and a toy poodle) for the following week to see the great-grandparents. (after the most beautiful wedding - congrats Matt & ML!). W and his best bud received matching overalls from their PaPa. W also got a powered four wheeler, a cool baseball glove chair, a rocking horse, a total of four hammers, and many more toys. All more than he knows what to do with!

I could tell lots of stories about those two weeks, but I'll tell the most important one and leave you with a slideshow of pictures. W has a plush red ball that he plays with - Kent and I always say "ball" when we give it to him. No words yet, but one day hoping he'll know what he's holding. So we're opening gifts in Alabama, and my memaw Opalene gives W a small Auburn basketball and says, "W here's a basketball for you." He got bright-eyed and shrilled "BALL!" followed by more "ball, ball, ball". Aunt Haley got it on video so we can watch it again and again. So my best Christmas gift was in the form of a word, "BALL."
